Cover-up tattoos in Beaufort.
A new direction.
An honest conversation.
Thinking about changing an existing tattoo? Start with a consultation at Apex Arts Collective. Miguel’s documented portrait cover-up gives you a real before-and-after example—not a promise that every existing tattoo can be covered in the same way.

Start with the tattoo that’s already there.
A cover-up is planned around existing ink, not an empty canvas. Send a clear, unfiltered photo of the tattoo and a wider photo showing the surrounding area. Include its approximate size and what you would like to change.
One documented example—not a universal result.
The before-and-after image on this page shows a Jesus portrait cover-up by Miguel. Browse his portfolio for additional shading work, then ask us about your own tattoo. We’ll discuss what is realistic rather than promise a particular result from a message alone.
Can any tattoo be covered?
We don’t promise that before reviewing it. The existing design, placement, size, and the new idea all affect the options. The studio may need to see the tattoo in person before confirming a design or appointment.
Does a cover-up need to be larger?
That depends on the existing tattoo and proposed design. Bring an open mind about size, composition, and placement; those choices are part of the consultation, not fixed rules we can apply to every photo.
What should my inquiry include?
Send photos of the existing tattoo, dimensions, design references, your goals, preferred artist if known, and availability. Tell us if you’re interested in a cover-up or reworking the current piece so we can discuss the right next step.
